Step 1: Bio-Analysis
The MD Diet approach begins with an in-depth bio-analysis, and not just a simple weight check. The bio-analysis gives us the information to develop a program for you.
Step 2: Your Program
Once we have your results from the bio-analysis, the doctors, nurse practitioners, and nutritionists who make up the core program team develop a personalized eating plan and activity recommendations. It is not a pre-packaged meal plan. You will gain the nutritional knowledge to make healthier food choices, the skills to control your portions, and the motivation to keep up a healthy lifestyle.
Step 3: Weekly Check-Ins and Weigh-Ins
With weekly weigh-ins and progress check-ins, you will have accountability and motivation as well as the opportunity to make needed adjustments as your body changes. Many patients also get B-vitamin injections that promote the health of your red blood cells, nervous system, fatty acid metabolism, heart, and other functions. It’s not uncommon for patients to feel a new level of energy and mental clarity at this point and find it a lot easier to stay on track.
Step 4: Physician Oversight
Once a month, your physicians, nurse practitioners, and other members of the core team meet with you for ongoing medical oversight. When appropriate, your physician may prescribe weight loss medications including Phentermine, Qsymia, Contrave, or GLP-1 medications like Semaglutide or Tirzepatide. All care is monitored to maximize the safety and efficacy of the treatment.
