Healthy Halloween Snacks

No tricks here. These healthy Halloween recipes make it more than possible to have a frightfully-fun night.

We get that you’re going to splurge during Halloween. When else do you have an overabundance of all the classic candy favorites? Break out these shockingly healthy Halloween treats and kid-friendly snacks everyone can feel good about.

Tasty Tangerine Jack-o-Lanterns

 

This one is simple, healthy and adorable!

Step 1: Peel a tangerine.
Step 2: Chop up some celery.
Step 3: Stick celery in the middle of your tangerine.
Booom, you’re done!

Ghost Pops!

 

We are going bananas over this one. This snack is a little sweet and a lot healthy.

Step 1: Peel banana.
Step 2: Cut bananas to desired size ( We like to cut it in thirds).
Step 3: Freeze for at least 2-3 hours.
Step 4: Poke banana with a toothpick so you’ve got something to hold on to.
Step 5: Put yogurt &, shredded coconut separate bowls.
Step 6: Get rolling! Cover the banana in yogurt, coconut and make eyes out of the chocolate chips.
Step 7: pop it in the freezer to firm up a bit.

Jack-O-Lantern Peppers

 

Sometimes it’s tricky to convince children to eat those veggies (and adults too!) These just might convince that ever whining toddler to eat their veggies.

Step 1: cut the top off of the bell pepper.
Step 2: scoop out all of the seeds.
Step 3: carve in a spooky face.
Step 4: Enjoy!

Candy Corn Parfait

 

No candy corn was involved in the making of this snack. (Phew!)

Step 1: toss some cottage cheese into the bottom of a clear bowl or cup.
Step 2: Add in some mandarin oranges (If canned make sure to drain well).
Step 3: Add pineapple to the top of the parfait ( drain well if canned).
Tada! You’re done! You’ll find this is much tastier than that blop of high fructose corn syrup aka candy corn.

Pumpkin Protein Smoothie

 

Pop all these ingredients into your blender and get a mixing and you’ll have a delicious healthy snack in no time!

Step 1. Blend
1 cup Silk unsweetened almond milk.
½ cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling).
1 teaspoon honey, agave nectar, or sweetener of choice.
1 scoop vanilla protein powder.
½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice.
1 medium banana.
6 ice cubes.
Step 2. Pour and enjoy!
